Broken Merlin Stab?

Before I say anything, let me just clarify that I'm not putting down merlin or any of their products. In fact I've got to say that their stabilisers, both the active balance and the triads are real lovely. I'm using a set of Active Balance rods. Recently I find that there's something loose inside my long rod. When I turn my long rod upside down, I can hear whatever it is inside moving. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but it sounds like its sliding within the stab, not "jumping" around loosely. I've just noticed this in my stab a few days ago. Question, should I be worried?

No.

I believe Merlin single rod stabilisers are filled with foam beads or somesuch.

It's likely that a bit's come adrift and is sliding about inside. I seem to remember we had a similar thread fairly recently on Easton A\C\E stabilizers doing the same thing.

Have you dropped a line to Merlin Archery to ask them about this?

Nope, but am going to (: hmm as long as the stabs doesn't fall apart in the middle of a shoot i'm fine with it. Am not really bothered by that thing inside. Just need to get more grease out to polish those rusts on the screw threads away. Seems like they rust pretty easily.

This happened with my Triads. With me it was a loose flake of glue rattling around the tube upper tube, sent it back and they fixed it in a jiffy.

Hmm Merlin said its probably some glue too. Well sending it back isn't really an option for me, considering my location. So as long as its nothing dangerous or something like that, I can live with it
