| Length of arrow Hi again, I'm currently using arrows which are about 1.5" longer than my draw length. I do not believe that my draw length will get any bigger. What effects on performance will using an arrow this much longer than draw length? Thanks |

| RE: Length of arrow Barry, would you recommend using a shorter arrow, and if so by how much would be advisable? I don't use a clicker yet. I'm currently just trying to get the feel for proper and consistent form. Would it also be advisable for a novice to use a clicker this early on in my development? |

| RE: Length of arrow Sensible approach is not to have the end of the point projecting beyond the riser. The Easton arrow selection charts are based on the 'arrow length' distance being from the nock groove to 1" beyond the button. This is a sensible physical shaft length. Any excess length is just dead weight slowing the arrow down. There is no 'fixed' draw length for an archer as the scapulae position are variable. As long as you have good back tension, good alignment and the holding position 'feels good' to the archer then go with it. IMO draw length only increases for archery beginners because they are not taught the proper technique in the first place.

| RE: Length of arrow I would start using the clicker as soon as possible. It's a fundamental part of the shot process. Developing a 'clickerless' technique just means having to start again developing a clicker technique. Many archers don't use the clicker for a long time and they end up still not using the clicker years later even if they are nominally putting the arrow under the clicker and pretendignto use it.

| RE: Length of arrow I've just had new arrows assembled and in doing so i've had my draw length assessed again, unfortunately I haven't actually used my bow since putting heavier limbs on. To cut a long story short my arrows have been made an inch longer than my draw. I was also shown at the time how your draw length varies according to stance and also where your string reference point is, the difference between theses points was 2.5". |

| RE: Length of arrow Don't shorten your arrows yet anybody there is at present some study going on about the node points on the arrow and the front nodes' relation to the pressure button. Basically the thought is that the front node should be on the button at full draw. |
