new limbs?
following on from the thread earlier about an all carbon riser a friend of mine sent me an interesting email today.
he works for a materials company and has mentioned how a korean based archery manufacturer had been in touch with them about R&D on certain materials.
apparently there are limbs being developed made from Alluminium, Polyetheleyne Resin, Iron Laminates. also when added to thier Force Operated Oppresion Limb System - a kind of limb saver - they think these will be highly effective
they reckon these should be faster and also more stable, following on from W&W's work with titanium laminated limbs.

Interesting. I know from other sources that archery manufacturers are getting a lot of their ideas for limb materials from other industries. More than that I can't say.

However, the titanium layer in W&W Synergy limbs was not a success as I recall. There were problems with it, hence why later generation Synergy limbs did not feature this layer. I suspect the aluminium and iron components might cause similar issues, but I suppose we just have to wait and see
