| Fast Flight no more? Hi all, What's the replacement string for non-dacron now that Fast flight's no longer going to be made? I can't remember the name. Cheers!

| There are plenty of materials to choose from, although most people refer to them by brand names rather than material names, e.g. 8125, Majesty, 450plus, 452, BCY O2, etc. To add to the confusion, Fastflight plus is made from Dyneema rather than Spectra which makes up Fastflight  I personally use 8125, suits me fine... 450/452 is good too. Never tried majesty, but some rave about it (can't get that excited about strings ).

| I use Angel Dyneema and am quite happy with it. My understanding is that it is pretty nearly as good (i.e. non-stretchy) as Dyneema, but is a bit more forgiving. Mind you, I have never found anything that shoots as well as the old kevlar strings that I had - a beautiful thwump sound - but you had to count every shot as they break after 1000 goes. |
