I've seen references here to FMJ arrows. I understand that full metal jacket means that they have aluminium outside carbon fibre and that they appear to be made by Easton but I can't find them in any of the online shops. What other name do they go by?

To give them their full name, Easton Axis FMJ's . The reason you cant find them is they were marketed as a hunting arrow. But as I found out they are a good target arrow at a very reasonable price if you shoot compound at 400 spine. I'm sure you have done your home work and checked the threads about them here and the only word of caution I would give is to say again that they are a heavy arrow. Suppliers have not put them on their web sites because of the hunting thing and because they are very new. I got mine from Clickers Archery in Norwich and I phoned the order in. I got them cut to size and the hit inserts put in with nocks for 63 pounds + P & P for a dozen.(They quoted me about eighty odd for ACC's) I ordered he RPS HIT target points separately as well. It may take a little longer to get these arrows and points as they will have to be ordered in.
One other thing once the inserts are in it's best to shorten them by taking from the rear of the arrow as the inserts are epoxied in.
