| As far as im aware it is used to lock the barrel inplace. but then so does the screw. Think they both do. Sure someone will correct me.

| I think the one your talking about is the nut that holds the ball bearing in place which gives the button its indexing feel |

| Beiter Button Thanks TJ I've actually seen that and the "Tricks & Tips" and the "Datasheets" from the Beiter site. Non of them tell you anything about the nut and what it's for, just the part number if you want to replace it! As "Instructions" go, they're pretty poor. |

| As mentioned above the lock nutted screw allows you to vary the spring tension for the ball bearing that indexes the barrel. NOTE: don't lock this screw up - It can damage the button
