| Spigarelli Comfort Tab...Beware of small size. Was having some issues using my current A&F platform tab and wanted one with a smaller platform that only protrudes outwards sa that I could get my anchor tighter under my jaw. I spent a while reading comments on this forum and eventually decided on the Spigarelli Comfort tab as it seemed to have everything I needed. I got the large size and it is way too small in terms of the leather pads reaching to the ends of my fingers. There also seems to be a bit of a design flaw in the shape of the leather faces as well. If you look at the images of the tabs on the link below, you will see that the leather below the arrow slot (the bit that covers the middle and ring fingers is a lot shorter on the Spigarelli than on other tabs. http://www.bowsports.com/acatalog/Bo...oves_ 16.html The leather on the Spigarelli also slope outwards away from the arrow nock slot which seems just plain wrong, as if you look at your hand then the difference if middle/ring finger length slope the other way. It almost seems as if the Spigarelli is designed for someone whose middle finger is the same length as their index and ring fingers (which mine certainly isn't as my middle finger is longer). Apart from this weird design 'flaw' it's a nice tab, but if you have large hands/long fingers like me foorget it as it is too small. I use the large A&F tab with no problems, but as others have stated on this forum, order the next size up is going to the Spigarelli. If you use other tabs at large size, then look elsewhere. |
| I used one of those years ago but without the metal anchor point on it, I use the Arco Sport Spigarelli Super Tab now as all he adjustment on it is just nice and it doesnt have the problem your explaining here. Quote:

| i've only just seen this post, but thought it prudent to reply... i've used said tab for nearly all of my shortish shooting career, and if anything, i've changed to a smaller size (medium to small) and I still cut the face down. my boyfriend uses a bastardised version (incorporating spig's faces and anchor plate and homemade faceplate/separator) and he has never had any problems, despite having very large hands. i think it is unfair to slate a product when in this sport much equipment is of personal choice. plus, the leather doesn't have to reach the end of your fingers. if it does, there's more for the string to kick out of the way. |

| My first tab after completing the beginners course was an AW anchor tab from Archery World in Preston. After a few rounds however I found that my string fingers were getting very sore so I decided to look for a tab with thicker leather. The only one I found with noticebly thicker leather (avoiding the need for multiple layers) was the Spigarelli Confort tab. I have used this ever since and have found it works well for me. I don't consider myslef to have mutant fingers either........ ![]() | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
