back tension

hi there i am new to this site i am going to try a back tension release i have tried the loesch can any one tell me what the carter evolution plus is like and what there views are on them both and any one got one for sale

There are posts about these on the forum somewhere.
I have the Loesch and it works really well. The main reason some have difficulty is the setting of the release weight along with the technique used to get the final reaction. If you are hesitant it becomes a real struggle. That would be the same for the Carter, I suspect. If the holding weight is too light, there can be a tendency to become over delicate with it and that brings hesitation.
I feel the setting needs to be heavy enough that you can reach your references and keep pulling into the stops without worring about getting too gentle with it.
If you feel you have to stop pulling before you press the safety, it is difficult to start the pull again.

Hi Hoyt 73, I've been shooting an evo since they came out and love it to bits. I've just got an evo plus as a back up and it's virtually the same, only difference is the evo plus has a range of springs at different strengths that you can fit to suit your holding weight and the mark one has a grub screw that you adjust. Either one is a good choice and they are both the same price. I'll alternate between the two I think
