Free Archery Scoring Software - Major Update - Leader Board Scoring, Email Results

I have just uploaded the biggest update to the free archery scoring software. In summary the additions are:

1. Ability to select Leader Board style scoring. Score each end and publish running totals.

2. Email results automatically using Outlook Express from within the program to any competitor that has requested results. (uses BCC so no email addresses are disclosed)

3. Advanced Export to Microsoft Word, Excel, HTML, XML and txt. Word and Excel require the programs to be installed on the computer.

4. Password and Security features. Multi-level and easy to use. Prevents unauthorised access, for example during scoring at an event.

5. Mass update utilities - USE WITH CAUTION these allow you to carry out operations such as updating a club name or correcting a spelling.

I have also produced some new manuals (only 2 or 3 page pdf's) covering these functions. Please read these carefully and also the information on the website. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE existing users backup your data(.tps) files prior to installing the update.

Here you can see screenshots from the leaderboard scoring and security module.

Here are screenshots from the email and advanced export modules.

To download the latest version and manuals please visit Friskney Bowmens website - Free Archery Scoring Software and give it a try before using it live. I have done some testing and it has a couple of bugs, nothing that I have discovered that affects the working of the software. If you don't use Internet Explorer or Outlook Express then you may have problems with the advanced export as it relies on calls to Microsofts built in functions. Any problems then please let me know, but as always it is free and used at your own risk.

We have used it live twice at Friskney and we were able to get our results out before the work party had finished putting the targets away

oops! forgot to say that the default user ID and password for admin access is admin and admin

Change these as soon as you can. There is a user with user id us and password user which has a low level access, you can use this to login and test security before deleting it. This will illustrate what hapens when you try and access a screen you arn't authourised to.

Unhappy

Looks really good Watchman, only problem I have is that I can't get the pages to fit my screen? They are mostly too large and even when I drag them around I find the bottom of the screen is missing. Help! What am I doing wrong??

Hi, it seems like you may have your screen resolution set too low. It should work on 800 x 600 or higher. I use it on an 800 x 600 laptop and it just fits on the screen.
