FITA 70 - a question

I've been printing off a table I've created with rounds on that you can gain clasifications on. I've not done the research myself, most of the info is ripped off Greensteves tables, just presented in afashion I find easier. However, I have a questiopn on the FiTA 70, is it 6 dozen at 70m or is another distance involved. It's just Greensteves tables sho it as 3,3 but wiht no other distance shown.

And where the hell do you find this info first hand, I've trawled the GNAS site, and I've done a google allto no avail. Ofcoures this could be becasue I'm stupid!

A fita 70m is 70, 60, 50, 30. with 36 arrows at each distance and a change of face halfway.

An olympic round is 6 dozen at 70m.

At least, that's how we do it in Aus.

Go to the GNAS web site...

Grand National Archery Society Ltd.

Download Rules of Shooting and go to 3.8 - 3.10 which gives all distances etc for all rounds.

Nope - the "720" tag applies to the maximum score, so could equally apply to the FITA 60m round. The official FITA name is the "FITA 70 Meter Round"

Not according to the list of rounds in the Rules of Shooting dated April 2004

We call the 70/60/50/30 round the Ladies' FITA

In my FITA book (April 2004 - so could be changed) the "Olympic Round" consists of the Elimination and Finals rounds, which, though shot at 70 metres (60 Metres for Cadets) has different conditions from the 70 Metre round (see above)

I think that might just be a 122 cm face....

Maybe this is my problem all along. I have been shooting on 122cm. If I had 128 cm faces at my disposal I confidently predict an extra 100 points on my score. Sham that will only bring it up to 134 .

BTW Adam. I have been trying to track down Evesham results for you, but nobody seems to have them yet.
