Archery clubs in / near Peterborough

Hi Y'all - can I pick your brains?
I'm going to spend a little time up Peterborough way 8th - 15th july - looking to move home...just generally 'sussing' out the area and a few properties etc- essentially around Stamford and Market Deeping areas.

Can anyone suggest local clubs that may even allow me to shoot there midweek- with a view to joining after the move?

And YES- archery and the club location and prominence does matter almost ( well as much as) the new house, schooling etc itself!

Be dead handy also if your club has a really good coach or two also.

Can I get an invite........ please?

Old oundle bowmen are based in peterborough a few of thier members can be found on here (john rowland, phz, and narrowboat spring to mind)they are a very friendly bunch .
If you do move up this way check the friskney bowmens website were only about an hour from peterborough

thanks for the mention EA

we do have a website but its really only a placeholder for the new one im working on at the minute - Welcome to OOBAC

if you fancy some midweek (presumably evening ? ) shooting just get in touch with me / tim (narrowboat) / john and although we dont have a regular midweek shoot at the minute im sure we could arrange something for you to come down as a guest with a few of us

in the interests of fairness there are other clubs in the immediate peterborough area - nene bowmen shoot not far from the city centre and fenland archers are a few miles outside peterborough - then there are many other clubs within an hours drive in most directions

As Rob has said, there is no shortage of clubs in the vacinity of peterborough. In addition to those mentioned it may also be worth looking at the cambridge archery association, rutland archery and lincolnshire archery association websites to see what is the best fit for you geographically.

Fenland Archery club shoot twice during the week at the moment, so if appropriate for you give us a call.
