Hayfever sprays

How can I find out if the "Nasonex" nasal spray my daughter uses for hayfever contravenes drug regulations? It contains mometasone furoate monohydrate!

No idea. You'd have to check with whatever body your daughter was shooting for / against / towards. I have a feeling that it's probably a variable list of banned drugs, that is continually growing as new ones are developed or old ones discontinued.

Would these be any help?

Doping - list

And if you were stuck for small talk next time you corner a pharmacologist at a party.

Nasonex (Mometasone Furoate (nasal spray)) drug description - prescription drugs and medications at RxList

If you go to the FITA website FITA - INTERNATIONAL ARCHERY FEDERATION - FEDERATION INTERNATIONALE DE TIR A L'ARC and click on the link to the left for "anti-doping" and the "anti-doping rules" there is a list of the current drugs that are prohibited.

I would also suggest asking your GP as there is a chance it might be noted on the medical computer as to whether the drug in question is a banned substance for sporting use.

WADA website.

It's an electronic database Mr Chrissy, so fairly much easier.

Think WADA is World Anti-Doping Agency/Association.

yea the world anti-doping agency (WADA) has the prohibited list and you can check the ingredients with it, the website is World Anti-Doping Agency i have also have had to check this list for my hayfever tablets and strefen for when i have a sore throat, i came across it when i wondered if they had any prohibited items in them....thankfully they dont.
