Unhappy It's cold, wet, windy and I shot bad!

Ok, so it wasn't that cold last night and the rain kept of while we were shooting, but it WAS wind and I did shoot bad

I was shoooting a Long Met 2 with the intention of shooting a 2nd clas score. Shot 195 on the 60m, so checked my score book, and saw that my normal 50m score was 260. With a total round target of 449, it should be achivable, all I had to do was shoot my normal round. So I shot 238! Missed a second clas by 16 points. Bah!

Did I mention the wind?

Quick question - did you shoot bad (i.e. poor form etc) or just score bad (i.e. wind causing arrows to go other places, but form was good)?

(Sorry - just been reading a coaching book about positive mental approach and so on! )

I must say I know how you feel - I shot a FITA 70 last night and ended up 28 points short of a 1st class score. Only myself to blame - 7 misses doesn't help.

Next time it's mine!

Well I know that my form has room for improvement, but hte distinct lack of coaching at the club makes that a little difficult. And although I had no misses, I did have two or three 1s which never helps. However, I was down on my 'normal' score for 50m so am blaming the wind as it was there
