And Stratford is on the Central line, in the news last week for a spot of trouble and a while ago for a bolt problem. Someone had a wrong trousers moment, and the motors were falling out of the trains left, right, and (mostly, to be honest) centre.

I am not encouraged.

At least there will be no congestion at Lords. You and both the other spectators will have a train to yourselves.

A Velodrome? They always build Velodromes... Who on earth uses the things? (Rhetorical.)
I wonder when they will replace the Eastway circuit....? If they hadn't knocked it down and used Newport instead....

Nah, that's logic and common sense, banned from Olympic committee as being too, well, "common."!

Indeed. Ever read a book called "The New Lords of the Rings".....?

It should be compulsory reading for all those sports body chief execs who are so "Olympic crazed." Which ever way you look at it, it's a subsidised ego-trip for the few (and I don't mean the athletes either) and I do not understand how it is supposed to improve sports performance.

We'd do better IMHO by stopping playing fields being sold off willy-nilly to property developers (the less well-off kids usually cannot afford the entry charges to the new "leisure centres" built as replacements) and in terms of our own house, looking at for example why it is with all this emphasis and cash on "performance" in archery it is proposed to LOWER the scores to get the recurve classifications........

All JM(NSH)O though and no doubt I'll need a hard-hat when the Olympic-lovers come on line.....
