Have a Goes.

I'm sure lots of you have done lots of them, but first try here. Totally brilliant.

The Newham Show is on this weekend, and t'club had some butts up, so to speak.

Nice constant useage, queue not too long, everyone really happy, some familiar faces, because they'd been through, shot their (usually more than nominal) three arrows and ran back to the end of the queue.

"Right, what you do is... Oh, it's you again. Bow. Arrow.Target. Off y'go."

I tell you, there are few things better than a Dad, doing reasonably well, handing over to three foot - nothing moppet, who pops a balloon in some style, and he catches it on his camera phone.

Fab.

Congratulations on your first have-a-go. hope you had some flyers advertising your next beginners course to give to those who came round for their hundredth try. Of course, now you wont have any time to shoot for yourself as youll spend the next 6 months trying to get through the beginners courses for all these new members

Sounds like you all had as good a time of it as the have-a-goers.

did my first HaG today too

(although i work with kids anyway so it was a bit a of busmans holiday)

actually enjoyed it more than i thought i would - constant stream of punters so pretty busy but seeing the looks on the kids (and adults to be fair) faces when they got a gold was worth it - reminded me of more innocent times in my archery before gearlust and minor obsession set in

It certainly is.

Heavy Reggae and Bhangra soundtrack too, and it's on tomorrow as well.

I also found the next Olympic Champion. No idea if she signed up to the club, but absolutely no clue, and snaps into a completely perfect T and bangs in more Golds than I've ever managed.
