GNAS Classifications - clarification please

Hi,
just been looking at the Imperial Outdoor Recurve classifications - spotted what seems like an anomily - Both Ladies and Gents U13/U12 for a New Warwick have a classification score of 0 for 3rd class - are they really saying that an entered no-score will give a 3rd class to that person ????
I realise that we are talking about extreme distances for the most juniors and the score will be low - but zero ?? surely this is a typo on GNAS's part and should be a 1 ???

Anyone know the wisdom/explanation please ???

cheers

Grep.

Hm, it does look a tiny bit daft. However, the handicap level for these classes is 92, across the board. Now, if you look at Table 13 on page 25 of the Handicap tables, you will see that a score of 1 at 100 yards for three dozen is a handicap of 83, and at 80 yards is 90. So you either set the level for 3rd class for those rounds higher than for others, or you accept fate and make the required score 0. The round does have to be "completed" though, and there must be more encouraging ways for little folk to get their third class scores!

Thanks - that does make "sense" in a GNAS'sy sort of way, but perhaps it could have been done better to encourage them more.

cheers
