Are you from Somerset?

Just before I go to bed, a chat with Tel from Somerset today, threw up a question..if people from Cornwall are Cornish and people from Devon are Devonians and people from Worcester are Wostonians...what do you call people from Somerset....Somersetonians? or as Tel said ..Turnips?
Any ideas anyone?

It's the supposedly Swedes and Turnips get us Lincolnshire lads (and lasses) the nickname "Lincolnshire yellow bellies", so that ones out for the Somerset people.

I don't know why they say yellow bellies though, because if you try driving round Friskney, Boston and old leake, you can actually smell the cabbages, cauliflowers and Brussels sprouts from the roadside, so we ought to be called "Green Bellies"
