| Happy to puit a vote up if one has not already been done. Issue is, should only GNAS people be able to vote? Sponge. |

| Although we have approaching 500 members, that number is small in comparison to the GNAS membership - aacording to a news piece on their website 28500. Would any approach... 1 - be taken seriously, I can see one of two things taking place, the first being any communication being filed with the empty sandwich packets in the round filing cabinet under the desk, the other being eventual despatch of a form letter thanking us for our comments and suggestions and nothing futher then happening. 2 - alienate our community, depending if they are a vengeful God. If support of one or more regional societies could be garnered or the question tabled at the GNAS AGM - Though according to the AGM Booklet (Here), no time was allocated to questions from the floor/AOB, though time would be given if available. If you *wanted* to be heard in this time questions had to be submitted at least a week before as prepared answers were given priority. There might be a higher chance of success with this approach as at least it would be minuted - letters get lost in the post/misfiled/lost/eaten by dogs don'tyaknow. just my thoughts...aimless though they may be. T.

| There is one other problem with AGMs. Votes are taken at them and the people who attend are not the kind of people who have an interest in upsetting the status quo. Sample 1000 members will give you a huge difference to the 100-200 at an AGM. Anyone know any committee members, or better still, are there any one here? Sponge. |

| If a national survey didn't get GNAS to change their minds about colours, why do you think a small on-line forum would do any better? I'm reluctant to suggest that this forum should get politicized. It might put people off joining, if they think it's stacked with activists... |

| I would happily support any action we did to try and change the dress code because I don't think that it is really relevant or worthwhile. Though being a cynical so and so I suspect that like Tarkwin says anything we produce will be filed away in the bin !!

| Sorry replied in other thread Quote:
Green and white are the most annoying colour of trousers to find for a woman. It's not really the colours i'm against its just the difficulty of finding a pair that aren't to big that you look like your wearing a tent but aren't so tight that ou end up with a VPL (visible pantie line for those who don't understand) The job of finding a pair have been extra difficult for me as i have long legs. I bought a pair of white Fred Perry ones but they were too short and I kept getting remarks asking if the cat had died (trousers at half mast) However, there is a happy ending to this story, The other day i went to Meadow Hall and in Dorothy Perkins, to my delight, was a pair of green combat trousers and whats more they were in the TALL section. ![]() So any you lasses have long legs and need a pair of trussies for comps, Go to DP.
