| Archery article - Sport Magazine Here is an archery article that appeared in Sport magazine (London based) in June. Yes, the author mentions Robin Hood and yes, he says *fire an arrow* (I've educated him since), but I think it's a good basic article on archery. Our club had several inquiries about beginner's courses after this was published, but that was down to the magazine including our club's web address. I think most people will agree that club websites bring in new membership more than any other way (apart from have-a-gos).

| Let me be the first to reply before all the technocrats dive in (and they will!). This is a superb article to promote the sport, it hits exactly the sort of note that we want to portray and that non-archers would smile at and be intrigued. The coaches can deal with any minor technical inaccuracies when they get to their business. Congratulations to whoever got the article to press.

| i agree - while there ARE some small quibbles the overall tone is good and does what i was talking about in one of the marion threads - while it alludes to the cultural / historical significance of archery in the UK its focussing more on the sport today and has a good dollop of techy gearlust in there too not bad at all i HATE the graphics though slainte rob

| Yes, David, I agree. The journalist's name is Mark Bailey and he writes for Sport magazine in London. He was kind enough to give me a copy of the article on pdf.

| Finally, a non patronising article that portrays the physical aspect rather than the prance around in green tights with a feather in your cap aspect that some seem to. I have to say, that was a good article, particularly the fact that they actually explained a little about modern styles (although I didn't like the position of the hand after the release in the diagram :P). |
