A HUGE HUGE big Thank You

A huge huge big thank you from the Staffordshire Archers, (Lichfield Archers, Stafford Archers & Wolverhampton Co of Archers).

To the Bowmen of Adel.

For those that didn’t know, I arranged for the above group of Archers from Staffordshire, to take a weekend away, visit the Leeds Armouries, have a meal and stop over night in Leeds, and organised to visit a local Leeds Club. Well I was fortunate to speak to Furface from Bowmen of Adel, and set up a friendly shoot for today (Sunday 11th Nov).

Oh my god, what a surprise we got.

Firstly we were greeted with the most loveliest group of Archers, not only did they arrange a Short Metric Shoot, but Littlest Furface also added a bit of fun to the shoot by throwing in a few novelty ideas (i.e. most whites). And really made us feel very welcome. We shot the 3doz @50m’s, the weather was dry, but cold.

Then they had fantastically arranged lunch for us, which was not only excellent, but a real surprise to us. After lunch we finished our 30m 3doz.

The final surprise of the day was that they had amazingly presented medals for all the visiting archers, but also a trophy for the winning team, based on average of all the scores.

To our delight Staffordshire archers won this trophy (which whoops, I accidentally dropped and improved its design). I quickly mended it, as it was just cosmetic.

So WE all from Staffordshire want to say a HUGE BIG THANK YOU to the Bowmen of Adel.

p.s. Bobcat, your bow is PINK!!!!!!!

And thanks to you, Ronnie et al. Why don't we do this sort of thing more often? No league points, Roses, or egos to be fought over, just friendly shooting - and getting together because we enjoy the same thing. I hope you all got home safely, and that the Quality Street lasted long enough.

Great. I missed not having a NoCo up at BoA this year. Can we expect one for 2008??

There may be plans for a NoCo... but possible change of venue to give BoA a break
