Goal 1, Win All British - Done, as you know

Goal 2, Win English - Done

Goal 3. Claim all the Hampshire field archery longbow records - Done (Apart from the 28 target rounds which aren't shot any more)

Goal 4 Done (At least for field rounds) apart from National Animal, because I haven't shot one of those this year, yet.

Goal 5 MB made thanks to classification levels being adjusted

Goal 6 Done, Charlotte's scores are improving, and she's made 1st Class. Duncan has won the All British and made GMB

I think that I need to set some new goals!

We all want PB's

Same as everyone else here, i presume.
I always shoot better in indoor, its alot easier, so i hope to do even better this year, my main plan is a 1130-1140 in the FITA-18, so 1135 would keep me happy. Current PB is 1093
I have worked out my latest problem(Jaw rubbing leading to inconsistent anchor point), so i am well up for a PB smashing year.
Enjoy the year guys
Dave

  • Finished last indoor season with 530. I'll get 540+ this time round!
  • Had a good early season with X7s, but struggled with those pesky 70m and 80yd distances. Navs helped me get that bit extra I needed.
  • Got my first class by June, followed by my first outdoor comp medal and won my club champs.
  • Once I started working with a senior GNAS coach, my form and scores vastly improved!! So much so, I got to within 20 points of BM, shot a 1000+ FITA earning me my first FITA Star, an English Cross and added 169 points to my previous FITA PB.
  • I completed my first full outdoor season - ever! First time since I started archery three years ago. No illness, no injury. And I was even able to shoot a double FITA.
All in all, I think I've had a brilliant 2008 and can't wait to see more improvement for 2009!
