what do you want from 2008 ?

that time of year again - how about a thread to collect and share our archery hopes for the new year (and officially the new outdoor season too i guess)

for me ?

- improve shakey indoor performance to get my portsmouth scores up to around 530 / 535 by the end of the indoor season (current PB 515)

- get 1st class outdoors fairly early on (weather permitting) and see where we go from there

- have fun doing those two things

well winning the jackpot on the Euro lottery would be a nice start ( and yes it would improve my archery ) ( own private international coach, personnel indoor and outdoor 90m range, proffesional instruction in string making arrow building etc etc etc).

If not then to attain one or two "B" grade scores indoors this season ( around 580 portsmouths) and shoot close to 1200 FITA would be nice.

To start with I want bowman before the end of February, I have made this significantly easier by getting a BM score on the first day of the year

I wouldn't mind getting my portsmouth up to 575 either, but this is only really a secondary aim as I shoot indoors to practice form not for scores.

Finally I would like to get a 1100 FITA star and a 1000 York Rose in competition

All of this involves a large amount of time enjoying the outdoors, having fun with friends and meeting new people, without which it simply wouldn't be worth it!

  • Finish the indoor season with a 540.
  • Buy correctly spined Navs.
  • Get first class early in the outdoor season and then try to get BM by the end.
  • Learn and improve.
  • Have a healthy season so I can accomplish all these things!

- Shoot 500+ Portsmouths/FITA 18s

- Get first class outdoors

Those are my main goals for next year and with a little luck I should manage it I think.

Cool

Indoors is not relivant to me but to shoot 570+ consistantly would be nice
I am after consolidating my bowman score and work hard for Master Bowman.
That would be very nice
