New Clubhouse Costs

Has anybody on the forum got any information on construction costs for archery facilites? I'm looking into typical costs for construction of a potentially multi-use facility that would primarily be used as an indoor range (20m) with the usual facilities i.e. small kitchen, small office space, socialising area and possibly some storage.

Costs I've found to date range for £700 to £1400 per sq metre for modular timber frame designs.

Any help would be welcomed.

There are a wide range of building types it would be best to check with the local planning department as to what type of consruction would be allowed, we have just put in for planning a word of warning re name the social area as a lecture room ours got cut in size by about 15 mtrs because of the name (lounge area not being essential for an archery range) but would probably have got away with a class room or lecture room which you could relax in at a push.

A couple of years ago I priced up for a new club hut built with solid block and sloping felted timber roof, with the intention of cladding being added later. The size was about 40 sq mtrs 8 X 5 in all and material alone came out at around £2500 - £3000. Labour I was working on the possibility that everybody played their part...
But as has already been mentioned it would be a case of find out what would be excepted locally first...

One avenue to check out is Farm building companies....

I had a look at some companies a wee while ago. One company was looking for about £60k.

From what I can remember, a farm type shed came in a good bit cheaper.

Nothing to report yet! I need to make up some drawings to get an idea of what size we are looking for and agree with the club exactly what is wanted.

I had a load of brochures from companies supplying modular and containerised workshops that i picked up from the institute of groundsmen's saltex show. several of them had pre built vandal proof clubhouses with heating, electricity, plumbing kitchens etc. might be worth a look as you could have the whole lot up and running in the time it takes to unload them and plug them in.
IOG SALTEX - grounds care, landscaping, sports amenities and estate management event should have a list of exhibitors and i will have a look for the brochures.
