My Birthday pressie

It's my birthday 2 weeks today, and my mind is turning to what to get
I was going to get a scope, but by the time I'd factored in all that Iwant it for, it came to silly money (well in excess of £1000) so I've decided to get a super cheapy just for archery.

So the question is a new bow or a new dog?

Now I know that you are all a little prejudice on this sight, but think on, I've got a bow (Winact) and I think I could swing the getting of arrows as consumables My dog, however died just over a year ago.

But bow:- if I decide to go for a bow do I get something of a different discipline (the dark side is calling) or perhaps one of those funky 27" risers (my draw length is 31")

I'm open to persuasion, suggestions and just general discussion

Thanks for reading

Paul.

Smile It is your destiny

Go to the dark side, you know you want to... Seriously, as a dark sider myself for a while I've known people who were average recurvers and turned into ****hot compounders and very good recurvers who didn't! If you're interested try to have a go with some suitable gear if possible, I found this very useful when I was considering the dark side.

As for cheap scopes, don't go too cheap, I bought one for 50 quid last year and it has lasted only a few months before lenses fell out etc. Have just got a Bresser Safari which seems much better quality from Bowsports for £79.95 so might be a good bet.

Cheers the Meggy

Red face Dogs and arrows dont mix

Fletched some alloys letting them dry now they wont even fit in a crossbow

Besides that get a new bow and a new dog solves all the worry if you did the right thing or not. you know the dark side calls

Dog or Bow

Why not buy a compound bow and hold up a pet shop?
Best of both worlds!
PS If the writers of Holby City are online i want a share of the royalties.

PLEASE dont go to the !!!! , it is bad for your soul, in stead of wasting all that money on evil you should spend it a new recuve e.g helix with border TXG limbs sorted

And if you want a new dog instead black labs are the best

IF and I do mean if) I get a new riser it will be 27" as the 25" riser I've got is fine. However, HEX5s look tempting The main reason I probablyu won't go to the dark side is the cost, I really can't afford to get a whole new rig.

Sorry, the only discussion in our house is (if we can convince SWMBO) whether it will be Airedale or Irish. Seth (my last dog) was an Airedale, but we all agree he was a big, but it's still under discussion

in that case paul

if you cant have a springer spaniel then its not worth getting a dog

a new bow it is then but forget that darkside rubbish - for the price of a decent compound you could get some VERY shiny border limbs !
