World Record Status update from GNAS

We have just had a phonecall from GNAS and they have confirmed that Kirby Muxloe is the only club to have WRS withdrawn and that all other clubs have retained WRS. An official announcement is expected on the GNAS website soon but they have said this information is to go into the public domain.

It will affect all WRS events at KM which will now be UK record status. Unfortunately they will not count for ranking or qualification scores.

According to GNAS, all other clubs have been able to meet FITA requirements for a WRS shoot.

I wonder if Kirby will bother to continue to host any shoots... I know their numbers were low for the summer shoot and now the people wanting scores will not enter. Shame!!

It is a shame they could not have worked around it like other clubs have. We know that last year all-carbons were shot at KM without issue.

I raised the issue of all-carbon arrows at the 98 venues selected for the 2012 practice as many of these are multi-use fields. My understanding from the conversation this morning is that this was not considered and it is something they are now going to look at.
