Korean National Team and Nano's

Some of you may recall a thread which eventually stretched to some 40 pages which I started regarding the Korean National Teams use of Nano's.

I was accused by some of telling 'porkie pies' and came under a particularly strong attack from gtek.

I am now able to confirm that the Korean National Team as well as the Chinese National Team are still testing with Nano's and that the Nano has now been introduced into the Korean schools archery program. Soma believe the tests are proving succesful and expect 'good news'

The source of this information is Mihye Jang of SOMA ARCHERY - the manufacturer of the Nano. I have this first hand and just in case gtek or anyone else wants to come back again and challenge what I am saying I have forwarded the relevant information to Dave. I don't want to bring the full contents into the public domain as it also details another National team testing with Nano's who I believe want it kept under wraps for now.

well it appears that these nano's are just as competitive if National Teams are introducing them. makes me more sick that I didnt get a set while in Vegas. Trying to get her to agree that I need 2 sets of arrows is like getting blood from a stone. Still Im happy with my X10's but still ponder if the Nano's would suite me better?

You just need to enrol yourself in a Korean primary school and you will get a set for free It could be a hard one to pull off though as me thinks you are taller than 4ft !

Trevor, on behalf of the admin team, if you're going to post something like this, it would be very prudent to post the information you've been given for public digestion in order to legitimise your claims from Mihye Jang of Soma.

We know that Wendy (archery_mum) has declared her interests, but perhaps you might want to do the same as you support her in all that she does, and clearly you feel very strongly about this subject.

We don't want this to turn into an online brawl or a name-calling session.

the koreans use nannos? cool, good for them but im pretty sure they could shoot most arrows and still score very highly.

Trevor said he was accused of telling porkies, and this is just preventive medicine so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Clicki I have sent a copy to Dave prior to posting here. Dave is quite welcome to email or phone the guy as he has all his details including the phone number in Korea, and he speaks English.

The only reason I am raising this again is that the information was disputed particularly strongly by gtek who represents Easton. I believe that Easton knew full well at the time that Korea and China were testing Nano's and are probably aware of the identity of the other team.

Now I can make the identity of the source public and Dave has the information to confirm what I am saying, I believe I should be allowed the right to publish this to counter what gtek said in the previous thread.

Wendy has never got involved directly with this and I have no commercial interest - I actually shoot X10's myself. I am an independant member of the forum and therefore my views should be taken as that. Yes I support Wendy just like any husband would support their wife.

It's not up to Dave to contact Soma. You are making the claim, therefore you should publish your findings so there can be no more disputes. However, if you feel it necessary, we can post the information on your behalf.

The information was sent to Dave via PM and if Dave has any issue with what I have said then Dave can either take it up with me directly or delete this thread.

Or perhaps as members of AIUK we are to assume the admin team are at liberty to disclose what they want from PM's. I hope the 'we can post the information on your behalf' isn't some kind of veiled threat that you are going to publish what was sent to Dave anyway.

I have made my position quite clear here. If you want to moderate the thread then of course you are within your rights to do so but I would like to hear what Dave has to say first.

No, we do not disclose PMs on public threads unless given the authority to do so by the authors. We aren't making any kind of threats either. We simply are doing our best to substantiate information.
