it's not easy being green

I went out to get some bottle green Dylon from one of the two stockists I know in Kingston. None. Chap said they haven't had any in stock for a few weeks. He even rang another shop for me. None.

You must all be busy freshening up your GNAS emsembles, but that leaves me in the lurch for tomorrow. I may well have to wear whites a very mucky field (any of you who shot the Pagoda Shoot Windsor will know what I mean!).

i'm having trouble keeping my white trousers on at the moment, let alone rolling them up. they were a size too big when i bought them (desperate to find something white at the time) and i've shrunk since then. i have proper fitting kit for warm, dry weather. it's just this $%!+ weather that annoys me. i do have olive green dylon, but my club is pretty picky and as field captain i kinda have to set an example

ok then. i've finished dying my cargos. the are very bottle green, apart from the stitching and embellisments that obviously have polyester in them, despite the tag saying 100% cotton. why don't manufacturers use cotton thread?? not to worry, as there's a cold dylon dye that may sort those random bits of non-cotton out. they look slightly odd being so deeply green with contrasting brown stitching. they remind me of farmers' overalls. yeehaw.

at least now i won't have to wear baggy whites on a mucky field. roll on club colours!!

I spent 4 hours going to every mens wear shop in Exeter today, looking for a suitable green pair of trousers. Guess what? Not a flippin chance.
A letter will be written to the GNAS stating such a fact..why not green, white and even blue trousers?
