release aid advice needed

Hi all - can I request a little advice please.

I'm new to the dark side & I'm looking to purchase a release aid.
I've been loaned a 'TRU ball T-Handle thumb' which is ok but always has me worrying that I'll catch the release as I draw back (and yes I've done this resulting in a piece of my arm flesh flying down the range).
So can anyone tell me the differences / advantages between a 'TRU ball Pro diamond xtreme' and a 'TRU ball ST-4'.

Cheers

changed the title of the thread to explain what advice you're after.

No experience with Tru ball, but worth taking a look at Carter Quickie wrist release, will help eliminate removing chunks of flesh.

Are you anywhere near Clickers? If so then perhaps you should call in and see them and see what Graham advises. He stocks Tru-Ball and Carter I believe.

Yes not far from Clickers - just need to find the time to get down there.

But I was just hoping that some of the more experienced archers could point out the main differences between the two.

Thanks

With Clickers close by it maybe still worth trying to get there and having a look first hand. A release aid costs a lot of money

You may find you get an answer if you post this question on archerytalk.com in the USA where Tru-balls are more popular.
