Uhh - you take in turns with the scoring - so that's a each and out of the Club bar, and since you probably finished the shoot before 16.30 - plenty of time

I know that most people do ask if it's alright to pull the arrows of others and I've not yet come across someone who's said no.[/QUOTE]

i've come across a few who want to pull their own arrows out.

i have also stopped a 17 year old junior from pulling any arrows out of a boss at an open tournament. because he was pulling down on the arrows and he was relatively tall.

At one shoot i allowed a guy to pull my arrows and after i saw him pull the first one i quickly stepped in and took over as he would have trashed 4 peoples arrows over the day if he had continued like that. After pulling his arrows i sneakeley span one of his arrows and it was like a bananna.

to me the 'pull your own arrows and rotate the scoring each end' seems to be a REALLY sensible option (unless obviously there is a good reason why you cant pull your own)

like nearly everyone else here ive certainly winced inwardly sometimes when i see other people pull my arrows

my first ever outdoor comp last year i was shooting with a compounder (55lb i think) on a straw boss and ended the day with no skin on most of my knuckles - i was too green to politely refuse to pull them but a couple of arrows i just couldnt budge without potentially damaging them and the guy himself could only remove them by grabbing with two pullers then jumping off the floor jamming both knees hard against the target and yanking backwards

The one I watch for with wooden arrows is twisting them out like they were screwed in. Soon as I see that ask to pull my own!

I can confirm that, even after shooting in LOTS of comps over 'ere I still find myself yanking everyones arrows out every now and again... usually I get that "just WTF are you doing with my arrows" look, but in a very polite reserved French way

Is it a better system?? ehh no.... makes the whole "scoring and collecting" process even more painfuly slow, never mind the complete farce it becomes when you have 24 arrows closely clustered around say the 8 9 10 zone. It kinda reminds me of playing "pick-up-sticks".

Wet Danage target + Some guys 2317 XX75s at last years outdoor BUSA hurt. Took 3 of us when it was raining to pull the arrows.

The Kestrels St George I had two very nice compound archers pulling arrows all day. Unless one of them went through the boss into wood, then it took 3 of us again! I hate scoring and would always rather pull so as long as they aren't the aforementioned Alis I don't mind pulling anyones arrows (although I usually ask first!)

That would be me then (Target 3?) Yeah, those target legs were tough! (and destroyed one of my arrows) but at least the boss itself wasn't too bad. Though I think they should have brought the ice cream around sooner

Yes Chris. I'll have words. At all tournaments even distribution of ice creams shall be required! Worst luck being 27 targets away from the ice cream van!

Well done on your medal btw!
