Your opinion is as valid as the next persons but as has already been said - if you moan, then do something to change it (possibly giving others cause to moan in the process). Actions speak louder than words and gain more respect in the long run. My gripe is with those who moan but never get actively involved in making it better. We can all see things that could be better but in whining about it without acting on it, we belittle and disrespect the genuine efforts of the comitted few who get involved.

Overall, IMHO this is one of the most sensible threads concerning coaching etc. I have read in a long time on this forum. Think I will climb off the parapet wall and give life as a coach and archer another day or two... Maybe..

The other day I was shown the outline of what a coaching course entails, and when I read it, I realised that even if I wanted to, I could not get anywhere near to becoming a coach.
The norm now as I understood, is to cater for all the disciplines.
If this is correct then my 40 years of recurve would be of no use, because I can't see myself trying compound yet.
It does not allow each class to have its own specialists in coaching, or am I mis-understanding something here?....

Paul...

Archery has a lot of disciplines. Specialists at the medium and higher levels of coaching makes sense to me. Only my humble opinion
