mmmm??? For compound EAF invited the top 8 ranked ladies and gents from last years ranking of those eligible to shoot for England, working down the list to fill the gaps. I don't think all of those invited have the 1 - 8 European ranking. Perhaps they must qualify in the year leading up to the games?

Perhaps it needs clarifying from GNAS towers.

Pete

it would be a shame if it was the case. And on the qualifiying side it isn't going to be much of an archery event with England, Australia and India the only ones to qualify.

GNAS towers....european nations are dealt with direct. i.e. england , wales, scotland, etc its done by commonwealth committee, in india GNAS have nothing to do with the commonwealth criteria.

so thats funding gone up the wall as far as i can see..

i know wales part funded the team last year, the team members paid the rest.

bad i know but thats the way it is

pete

Backing away from team funding...
I don't have a problem with the amount GNAS charges, but as a GNAS field archer I would like to see a little more time spent on field by GNAS. I appreciate that field archers are in the minority in GNAS, but if they don't get their act together you'll get more people going across to NFAS or EFAA.
An example of the problem as I see it is the recent FITA rule changes. It was known in October that the FITA field rules were changing. In January the rules were confirmed. In April GNAS printed an update to the rule book with the old rules printed, not the new ones, despite re-printing the pages that should have been changed. Also the classifications have been changed, which is good, but again the new classifications aren't in the amendments, nor are they available on the GNAS website. They are on the GNAS Field site, but why are they not in the official rule book? Field archers pay our money too!

That is exactly what has happened in our club.

I could be wrong, but I undertsand the various Commonwealth Councils pay all the expenses for sending the Teams - transport, clothing etc so no money is needed from the Govering Bodies for the actual event.

just niticed this, do you shoot much. how did you get so many jobs.
just like me, no one else wants to do them or,just a glutten for punishment.
No, I dont shoot much, but most of that is due to a medical condition (osteo-desidiosus: bone idle)
Alternative viewpoint: "What? Someone else do my job?"
Actually I've reduced my workload. I was county chair and club equipment officer too.
Th eimportant bit is that Mrs GA doesnt have anything more important to do, so I off load the humdrum stuff onto her
