At what stage did you buy your first Equipment?

Question in the title really.

Did you buy anything before your beginners course, arm guard, quiver etc? What stage did you decide to buy your first bow/equipment?

Thankyou

As a club we advice people not to buy any thing for a while, and to try different weight club recurves, so they get more idea of what weight is more lightly to suit them. We also have two basic compounds unfortunately only right handed ones at the moment (but I know a left handed compound archer) and a longbow too. So that every one who wants can try different styles before they pay out their hard earned.

Didnt buy anything untill a couple of months after finishing beginners course and then only a tab bracer and quiver(but made up for it now),and advise people to wait a couple months before buying bows etc but to get basic stuff (and cheap) tabs etc.the club holds about 5/6 wooden training bows for use of club members.

I bought my kit before my beginners course... but I certainly wouldn't recommend it!!! Always best to wait & see how you get on.. you might even find fellow club members have some kit going for a good price!

Had one intro lesson, the got very frustrated shooting once a week with club bows.
Got bow and kit within a month of starting.
Improved rapidly, so upgraded 5 months later.
