If not him, then choose sombody you trust and believe in them, but give it time,IMHO set realistic achievable goals, and if you want to go all the way at a young age , be prepared to forgo almost everything else in pursuit of your dream, if you dont want it enough you will not get there!

You certainly have the correct Mr T there Tim, you are the first to have commented on that! Both Helen and myself have picked up the odd useful tip from him, including on the day Helen picked up her 1000 star.

It would require that the person learned how to shoot initially - then set up some quality kit properly, on there own - which assumed they learned how to do it properly with no help - then they would have to practice every day with proper form and technique - where did they get this proper form and technique from? it doesnt just appear from nowhere...

It would assume a person just jumps from being a raw beginner to having perfect technique... and that at no time in this 18 month stretch of shooting every day did they put in any flaws into their technique - which they wouldnt even know if they were doing so anyway, because they are by themselves with no coach...

18 months... a single person shooting every day from beginner... no coach = going to end up practising a flawed technique every day = not going to make GB

i disagree i still say if you shoot permanently you will become the best.

if your shooting that much does it matter if your form isn't perfect, does it matter if you have a crap release.
you will figure it out.
you will put them in the middle.


as long as that release is the same, as long as you can read the conditions..

i shot for 7 years with a raised bow shoulder loadsa coaches said your shoulders up no one said how to get it down. till i spoke to mark fitzy.

i gained 1.5 " draw length. thats the only coaching i ever had. recurve bests 1225 - 1245 fitas. 1132 york.
