I have had an order sit doing nothing for a week or so. A simple email saying "sorry, the limbs need to be ordered, will send them in a week or so" would have meant not had to call from NZ to see what is happening. Being told that the delay was also because they were busy doesn't promote good customer service.

Great on-line prices, overpriced in-person prices and a lack of communication. A Bit hit an miss really but still one of the better price choices for overseas purchases.

I got a response by email today (Which is great because I didn't get a chance to phone) saying that they (I assume just the person who responds to email) was away for over a week and that he would get back to me tomorrow.

If he doesn't get back to me within the next two days (I'll be nice, and give him one more day than he says) I think I'll cancel my order and get my goods elsewhere.

If they DO get back to me, I might may order from then again in the future, but not for something I need quickly, that's for sure. I'll update this with new info for those interested in their customer service.

Having worked in a export office, Canada is a pain in the bum to send to, your order will require special invoice procedures to get into the country.
Not defending Bowsports in any way as I think their service is average at best.
And I'm still ###### off about being charged £4.50 p+p for £9 worth of nocks and flectings!!!!!!!

I understand problems with shipping etc, and I don't mind delays like those.

I did get an email today asking about a color for an item I ordered (they didn't have the one I wanted in stock) so I assume once they receive my response tomorrow, my order should be processed and shipped.

For the record, if it IS shipped tomorrow, it would have been 19 days since I placed my order. Their site plainly states "1-2 days for items in stock" (my first order was all items in stock)

Which only works if their stock/picking records are up to date - many archery suppliers have no idea what they have in stock or not (despite what the website says)

I know their prices are slightly higher (but much better than they used to be), but my experience of customer service from Quicks far exceeds any other supplier I have dealt with to date... give them a try next time.

Bowsports

I have delt with Bowsports on quite a few purchases! The time spent waiting
to receive goods tends to vary! From two daysTo ONE AND A HALF YEARS!!!!! Yes people I have waited for a Left handed Hoyt Pro-fit Handle for all this time. It was for my cybertech (which I have sold a year ago). All I got from them was, it was on back order.

Well, I finally got the email confirmation that my order was shipped today. (only 21 days or so after making the order).

Considering that the only problem with the order was that they didn't have the color of something that I wanted, that's pretty poor service. I wonder how long it's going to take to ship.

I think next time I'll stick with K-1 Archery. I got a package from them today. According to the info on the package, they shipped it the day after I ordered. Even with slow USPS shipping, it got here in 14 days less than it took for BowSports (BS, good acronym) to even send my order out.

Take out shipping time (which varies), and K1 was 20 times faster at order processing.

Good luck in your future ventures Bowsports, you won't be getting any more business from me.
