Bowsports (Quick question)

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with emailing Bowsports. I've made a couple orders through their website (which states most orders are shipped within 1-2 days, and will have a tracking number if over £50)

I made the first order on the 2nd of May (over £50) and the second order on the 10th (over £50) and received confirmation of payment. Other than that, I've had no contact from them. Is this normal? I've emailed them asking when to expect the order to be shipped (on Monday), and have received no response.

I'm starting to think that I may have to phone them (though I only have a cel
phone, and it'll cost an arm and a leg to call)

Just wondering if anyone knows what the normal response time for email is really.

Anyways, thanks in advance,
Kris

I've emailed Bowsports on serveral occasions and response times vary a lot. I've had same day responses and also had to wait over a week to hear from them.

I'm just starting to get worried, because it's been 2 weeks with nothing but them taking my money. All I 'd like is an email saying "We're working on it."

Oh well, I don't have my bow yet anyways, but that's not really the point.

2 weeks ? If my order isn't sent within 2 days I'm on the phone to them.

I figured I'd give them 1 week to respond to my email. So, they'll be getting a phone call on Monday.

Not sure if I'll be ordering from there again if this is the amount of time it takes to get an order going (Though if I was contacted saying it was going to take a while, I'd have no problem with that at all)

Hopefully it's all sorted out on Monday.

I know that I've recently ordered something from Merlin (Aurora 115 midi) which they didn't have in stock. After a week they called me to tell me that they were having to order as they'd run out.

If it's been a couple of weeks I'd certainly give them a chase up!!

I have to say that I order loads of stuff from Bowsports and have never had a problem with them

I have ordered arrows at 2pm and had them in my hand at 10 am next morning

the worst was 3 days, but then I didn't order till about 4 pm and got them 2 days later, which was excellent

Having said that, I have heard that they can be slow on the big stuff if they don't have it in stock and their communication can be a bit bad

Best ring them, tell them off and let them know if they want your business they have to work to keep it in future

We have an order outstanding since the first week in February which we keep being told is on its way. archery_mum has just emailed them again tonight giving them a deadline of next Wednesday or I think a call and complaint to Consumer Direct will be made.

I would be rather concerned if they have taken payment before shipping the goods. If I remember correctly that is against the agreements for the credit card handling banks.
If payment has been taken you will be starting to pay interest sooner than you might. And the retailer will be earning it sooner than they should. A call without delay ould be my choice.

Honestly I'd love to phone, but living on the West Coast of Canada means that I'd either need to phone when I sleep, or phone while I'm at work. Both of these are poor options

As a customer, I shouldn't have to be chasing people down. I honestly don't understand how a company can survive while not answering inquiries via email. VERY poor business practice imho.

I guess I'll have to try to get up early on Monday to phone. Very irritating.
