300th Scorton
Just letting everyone know the good news. Yesterdays 300th Scorton was won by Hull archer Guy Hair.

This is excellent news particularly for his club Bowmen of St Mary's as it is the second of it's members to have held the title of "Captain of the Arrow" in the last 2 years, previously having being won by Scott Walker aka "reklaws".

Drew put on a great day for the 300th with much & being had by all! Or rather for us lucky lady scorers, much wine and choccies!!

A big congratulations to Guy (Captain Spartan!),and we look forward to seeing everyone next year in Hull.

It was good to see a TV report on Calendar News tonight showing the Scorton archers shooting and a brief interview with Drew (I think). We had just got in from Silver Spoons FITA 900 when it came on the news and as you can imagine seeing any kind of archery on ITV had to make us look twice. I don't know if it is on the website or will appear.

Yorkshire - News - In-depth news and features for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

Edited - Yes the news report is on the lunchtime streaming video but without the interview.

To save you having to sit through the whole news report...
Go to the site, click "Latest News Bulletins" just to the right of the video panel, then "Calendar News North".

Start the video for the evening bulletin of "Calendar News - Sunday Evening 18/05/08". You'll have to sit through an advert. Once it starts playing fast forward or use the seek bar to about 7 mins 50 secs then play.
