I often shoot in Hi-Tec ankle boots. Brilliant firm footing and support, not as good as the combat boots but I don't have to obsessively polish them either. Can't have paid more than £20ish in Makro for them.

I certainly wouldn't buy white trainers with minimal ankle support for a sport that involves a lot of walking and a lot of standing!
