I have just returned from a club tournament, non record status, which I have atended for a couple of years. It was announced that this would be the last, because of declining entries, and lack of help and support within the host club. I know that there will always be others, and that new ones spring up each year, and this is just market economics. But is it
a) Too many tournaments, so entries are spread too thin
b) general economics mean archers are going to fewer competitions
c) This one had a bad feel because club members were not supporting it
d) Volunteering to run these things is down anyway
e) Record status is everything
f) Publicity through club secretaries is imposible, so no one knows about them
Any views out there?
