| 2008 Olympic TV Coverage I was having a mooch 'round the interweb trying to find out when the BBC were covering the Archery. I came up with this: Schedule - The Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (Archery's towards the botton of the list). It doesn't actually say what they will be covering or when, but it does indicate when we should be looking out for coverage. Usefully, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page you can download the Schedule as an XL Spreadsheet and cut out all the stuff you don't want to watch! Found some more useful stuff here: BBC - Press Office - 2008 Olympics press pack: Olympics coverage on BBC TV |

| Impressive, the BBC actually list someone covering the archery - Eddie Butler. I couldn't see it mentioned in liver coverage, but perhaps in one of the BBCi streams or highlights programs. |

| It'll probably be shown on Eurosport given they have shown World Cup finals in the past...

| In the nearly 40 years now I've been an archer, it's the best coverage I've seen on archery on terrestrial telly. Don't have satellite or cable, so can't comment on that. But my neighbours, non archers, even found the rounds with our boys & girls on, interesting due to the format of the round, and the coverage. OK the terms like "thats a liner!" were a bit American, but the public grasped it well. So come on GNAS, get some sponsor to put up the cash, do a short snappy round like the H2H teams, and get some coverage. It can be done. Fishing matches in the UK style format are long and boring. Enter Terry Hearn and his "match room" snooker/boxing company produced a continental style, 2 hour, well edited, TV friendly competition. Put up a £25,000 winner takes all prize to get the best to enter. Then with a big sports promoter like Match room, TV coverage gets pushed in by force of money, the god of TV company shareholders.

| It has been excellent. I've got around 7 or 8 hours of footage from the ladies and gents matches so far (everything from BBCinteractive) Mind you, I did have to get up at 5am this morning to swap channels because the BBC couldn't put one discipline on one channel and instead decided to spread 3 programmes across 3 different channels. Still, musn't grumble, I'm just grateful it's televised!!

| There was archery on Channel 4 last night! Scrapheap Challenge had an archery special. Alright, it was all giant crossbows and spring guns shooting actual literal broom handles, but still good fun. ![]() |
