Hi

I`m not part of the admin team - just someone who signed up. I only found out about it as it was a gateway to the e-learning site when I did my county. (no courses in Norfolk so I did mine as a distance learning thing, arranged in Scotland.) Now the course is over I cant get into the E-learning thing anyway so I dont bother going on the forum.

Meddler will probably know more than me about its eventual use.

Over to you Iain

Andy

Like Andy, I used the site on my county course, and used it to submit course work.
It has functions that cannot be delivered by the main GNAS web site, which has no way of offering interactive services like a bulletin board or e-learning system, so there is a space for them both, but the main site should have a link to the coaching site.
I have tried to register for the forum, but there is a problem with it which most probably won't be sorted until there is more of a demand for it.

Ref : "Secret" GNAS Coaching Website

The site is a TEST website. That's why nobody (or at least very few people) outside the NSG knows about it.

It is a PROOF OF CONCEPT, so that NSG could see how it was going to pan out. It was meant to be accessed by people who were invited to join the site, so that they could give an opinion. It was not going to be opened to the world.

At the moment, all development has been halted on the site, until we get some feedback from higher up about what we are going to do with it.

The sister site - the e-Learning module - is also a TEST site. It has been used by a couple of courses to see how e-learning would fit in with the new structure. Given that some regions are wide-spread, it would be an easier way to set and collect homework.

A course I was on was used as part of the learning site. I'd say that it added to our course as it's expected to have access to course materials and tutors online (in the modern world )
