| To work towards a classification (and, indeed, a handicap) you'll need to shoot the appropriate round at a competition (at the club or elsewhere) or shoot the round listed on an official club "target day". Any and every day can be a "target day" - the club just has to publish the date and round(s) to be shot in advance. Look at your club's shooting programme. Submit the completed signed (and countersigned) score sheets to you club's Records Officer. You'll need any three allowed rounds for a handicap and three rounds at or above the required score for a classification - see the GNAS Rules of Shooting for details of the Rounds and scores. Hope this helps.

| I was unaware the rounds to be shot on a target day has to be set in advanced and published. Is this the way your club operates or is it a ruling laid dow by GNAS/Archery UK?

| The GNAS Rules just say that any qualification up to and including Bowman is controlled by your club. |

| Read through the rules regarding target days, and I can see exactly where it says the day/s of the week and time/s of day target days will take place, and that such day/s & time/s should be published so that club members are aware of these details. But I fail to see where it says that the round/s to be shot need to be announced in advance only that they are recorded in the club record book, & they are shot in accordance with GNAS Rules of Shooting.

| Yup, reading the rule it clearly doesn't require the round to be previously announced. It is our club that has previously agreed rounds listed in our shooting programme.
