| each country has a commonwealth committee who ratify the athletes to the common wealth games. the federation of the sport set the qualifying criteria (so saa, efa etc). Then the commonwealth committee of that country ratify an athlete on financial as well as other criteria. The shoots on the saa calender for compulsory attendence are not defined as the selection shoots (and never have been)

Also are you saying categorically that any Scottish archer wishing to be considered for selection could submit scores in 2009 from alternative tournaments that did not include any of those listed on the SAA website and they would be given equal consideration to those archers who did shoot the compulsory tournaments originally listed. I don't know the answer to this but I do know an archer who would be interested as he is under the impression he has to shoot the competitions listed.

| these competitions will be mandatory to attend (if selected in some cases or qualified for in the case of the masters) they will not be the only scores for selection (in as much as we have been told )SAA website IS password protected but not in a clever way to anyone who is a member of a scottish club! ![]() Any archer interested in the selection criteria should email the scottish manager

| As far as I understand it, the Commonweath Games Councils' for each Commonwealth Country have the final say over whether an athlete (in any sport) goes. As always it down to money and how much of medal prospect an athlete will be at the Games. Its a strange one for archery as of course the "International circuit of Grand Prix is only open to FITA recognised nations and this means that unlike in other sports the ArcheryGB Home Nations have no true "international" record of achievment. I don't know how many other Commonwealth countries this applies to.

So I see the Compulsory ones are:1. UK Masters 2. Euronations 3. British Championships (Both days) 4. Any other Premier event, Both days (with 2010 funding only for the Scottish Premier) So indeed if you want to be considered for selection to shoot for Scotland in the Commonwealth Games you have to (according to the screenshots I have and am happy to post here) shoot the above competitions.
