| I change my arrows for indoors, can't afford not to ![]() Kae. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm going to keep the same setup throughout the year, I stocked up on new carbon arrows yesterday to use for the upcoming season. If they get knackered before the outdoor season starts then I'll wind up the poundage on my bow and buy a new set of arrows. Two birds with one stone =) Although it would be sensible to change arrows indoors if you shoot regularly in competitions. Portsmouths can really give them a good thrashing unless you are on the same target as a novice with no hope and can avoid hitting your own.

| I always change my arrows from Cartel Triples to Easton Platinums for the indoor season (which involves changing the arrow rest on the bow also and re-tuning). The reason is that Robin Hoods are just too expensive with the fancy arrows! The Platinums are quite accurate enough for 20 yard work. It is not for the old 'line cutter' myth; this only works if you are shooting them all in the middle anyway. |

| The triple spot target face option is available for fita and portsmouth comps in scotland , this greatly reduces accidental damage |

| I change from my aces to x7s for the simple reason that i really don't fancy all the continuous reflectching of spins and the cost of replacing an ace. Put an arrow through a feather? just brush it back into shape! the one time i did use aces indoors what at a fita 18, but everyone had their own face (it was six on a boss in two rows) so i wasn't worried about crowding. sharing a portsmouth with someone else who's good is not a situation i want to be putting aces into....

Anyway, I don't change my recurve setup at all (not that I really shoot that much recurve anymore), but I do switch from X10's to X7's with my compound. |

| same riser / limbs / draw weight just roughly tune a second button for some fatter alis with big feathers and (try to) remember to switch buttons between in and out (we carry on outdoors right through the winter too) dont worry TOO much about 'fince' tuning the alis as its less critical for the indoor distances - ensuring clearance and getting the bareshaft somewhere near is good enough i reckon slainte rob

| recurve differant string, arrows ,pressure button. if i.m feeling rich will shoot the aces indoors. compound 2315's for indoors, aces outdoors 470's |
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I change from my ACEs to X7s indoors, and this year will wind up the poundage a bit now (and a bit more in the future) to get used to shooting higher poundage for next years outdoors. But no other changes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
