AIUK clothing and GNAS

Sorry if this has been asked before but,

Could AIUK (in theory) register with GNAS so we could shoot in the AIUK clothing rather than our club colours or the usual GNAS whites/green? If it's possible we could then enter teams into shoots and have loads of official Mooooos on the line?

It has (and does) come up quite regularly - with many views for and against. It would, on the face of it, seem to be impractical but not impossible. Try 'Search' and prepare for a long read!

I think the only solution is to have the Moo logo on white or green polo shirts as available at the AIUK shop.

Ok I've loked at other threads partic LMP's and Daves response.

I'd need to look at the GNAS bible but, If we are all registered to shoot GNAS comps because we pay this through our respective clubs what rule says you have to shoot for that club. Could you not just say AIUK or even 'none' on the enrty form. All an organiser needs to be sure of is that you have your GNAS number as proof of membership and insurance?

How do a shop and Alt services get around it then?

According to GNAS rules, the club through which you pay your GNAS fees have first dibs on you when it comes to shooting competitions. You have to get their permission if you intend to shoot for another club.

I've not checked this one out thouroughly, perhaps someone else can verify this, but once you start shooting for your club at competitions you can't suddenly change sides halfway through the season and shoot for another club.
