Pain Free Archery - 2 Books Worth Buying

Being a total convert to the Egoscue Method I thought some of you might also find this useful. After years of trying everything and I mean everything for chronic lower back problems with ultimately no success I discovered the Egoscue Method. Not only did my back pain virtually stop in weeks but it reversed years of snowboarding/surfing/skateboarding/martial arts injuries. I do the exercises every day now and despite dislocating my shoulder last year (i also sustained some hefty nerve damage) was back to archery within three months. A year on and I have better overall mobility now than before the accident. My knees, shoulders, wrists, back and neck all feel great. My body is free of pain killers and cortisone. I've just returned from a week in the French Alps without limping off the plane as usual. The Egoscue system is based on the victim/sufferer taking full responsibility for his own pain and following an exercise program designed to get muscles working properly again. The exercises are easy to do and don't involve breaking a sweat. I HATE gyms and do no exercise other than my usual pastimes a couple of times a week. Archery, like golf, tends to favor one side of the body and the Egoscue method promotes bilateral movement. Two books worth checking out are:
"The Egoscue Method of Health Through Motion" and "Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method For Stopping Chronic Pain". I bought mine from Amazon.com for $35 for both including shipping to the UK. Certainly the best money I've ever spent and almost everyone who has tried it has gained some benefit. Give them a try - can't hurt anymore than you may be already!

nice one Macbow - I'll look onto those, I have a dodgy (bow) shoulder that I can only rotate in certain directions!! This wasn't caused by archery but I'll bet it doesn't help!!
