Finished With Indoor Shooting!

Last night was the last indoors till September and the club indoor championship.

Yay outdoors!!

How did you all get on with your indoor goals?

I had two, one was to achieve C class, which I didn't quite make, but that may be good for sandbagging at a couple of tournaments next indoor season

The other was to win the Gents Recurve Trophy at the club indoor shoot. It was a close run thing, but thats a goal I did achieve, so I'm having today, but not at the same time

Mike

Missed my indoor goal of 570 by one point, not too bad. There is always next year, and I don't care now as It's nearly the Outdoor season Yipeee

Beat my target of 530 by 8 points (must remember to log the score for this month) and an added bonus of club indoor champ also (though could have done better).

Funny thing! Last October, all I heard was "CAN'T WAIT TO GET INDOORS" - we always expect something magical to happen just because we stand in a field rather than a sports hall (or 'tother way round). To remind you it 'aint so magical, here are my top 10:

Midges
Chemical Toilets (especially brim full)
Toilet blocks that are 1 minute further away than the time between ends.
Hay Fever
Wind
Rain
BBQ's that run out of sausages by mid morning
Sunburn
Wind Burn
Mud

So here we go!

All of the above is what helps make outdoors "Magical" You can't wait Max, stop kidding yourself

Yeah - I know! Still winter was no too bad. Shot a 560 recurve Portsmouth with a miss (agggh!). So that was one goal met (the score not the miss). Then managed to completely screw myself up and changed to Compound - new PB's there (563 Portsmouth) so plenty of scope for the next indoors. As for summer - a voyage of discovery into uncharted compound waters. Speaking of waters, remember North Cheshire Bowmen FITA last summer?

Although I shoot indoors all year round I did achieve many of my Vegas round indoor goals these last few months. These were
• Beat my best X count of 25x (shot 26x)
• Score 300 on frequent occasions. Last year I did it 3 times. This year I have done it 12 times already.
• Improve my average. Up from 297 to 298.1
• Score 590 FITA. I have not done this yet.

Marcus, that's good shooting and getting better. Nice one!
I'm catching you though!!!!!!!
At least my scores could be interpreted to show that. Mmmmmmmmm not sure that's the same thing???
My rehab is bearing fruit. That's for sure.
All the best
Geoff

Bit of a hit and miss indoor season. Hit my score goal of 588 Fita, and my goal of qualifying for the 2007 World Indoors, but missed out on my aim of a place at the European Indoors. That was all my own fault though.

Roll-on outdoors. New game, new goals.

Adam
