You know you are an archer ...
...when you stretch your arms they are in the same position as at full draw.
...you turn down that dodgy restaurant on a Friday night, cos you know that tomorrow you will be in the middle of a field and don't fancy risking it.
...every time you watch a made for tv canadian/american mythology time waster (Xena/Hercules/Sinbad/.../... ) you criticise them for using take down recurves.
...your have the theme tune to Robin Hood (old or new) on your mobile ring tone.
...(It's already been said, but I've done it so) you choose your car based on boo t capacity for your archery box. (Rather than get a cheaper car and use the saving to get a smaller archery case!)
...When every Friday someone at work asks if you've got any competitions this week.
...When your next house MUST have a garage to practice in.
...When you are looking for a new job and you check out if there are any clubs with there own archery fields in the area.
...When you spend most of your annual holidays camping in a field with only basic facilities, and you wake up each morning to the thud of arrows hitting the practice boss at 6.30 in the morning. (Why do they do that?!)

You know you're an archer when EVERYTHING you look at has an imaginary arrow thumping into it's centre.
The trick is to get it out of your mind, and into the centre of the target for real.

... when you cant look at yourself in the mirror in the loo's at work without practicing your draw.

I have been walked in on about 4 or 5 times now.
Its an odd position to recover from.

How on earth can you ever get a 'smaller' archery case. The existing one is never big enough - this is true regardless of the size of case used!

some of these arnt mine i have just heard them, U know ur an archer when

...at the air port and the person at the checkin desk asks if u have any sharps in ur case and u just stand there grinning madly and say welll....yes, i do.
...Your scared of heights, but, have no problem hanging on a tree 20' up with one arm trying to hang a stand with the other.
...Your regular street clothes are all shades of white and green.
...You constantly estimate the range to everything
...You've got more than one arrow hole in the side of your shed/house/garage
...you wake up and your way of streching is, u at full draw then release

You know your an archer when...

... You can give an inpromtue talk on the history of archery, and archery as a modern sport for over 5 minutes and not even touch on half the things that occue to you in that time.

... You have more a pile of medals in your house, and you start to forget which competition you got them at.

... You can guess your bracing hieght by the pitch and note the string gives off

... You can guess someone else's bracing hieght by pitch and note
