When anything archery related is mentioned at work, That's your Queue....
You then watch your collegues eyes glaze over.

Now....

Other people in the office intentionally avoiding mentioning anything bow/archery/Robin hood related

Subtle hint received LOUD & CLEAR.

When you get a toy bow and arrow in a Christmas cracker and then spend boxing day making a new bow string for it (with correct serving) and then using the cocktail sticks to get a set of arrows (after checking for spine) with feathers from next doors budgie

By the way, my mum has 180 ft back garden with nothing beyond the fence. Only trouble is she lives 150 miles away, so the car gets a lot of distance

You know you'r a (compound) archer when...

... whenever you use a bit of string to tie something, you use bowstring or serving material
... you look at an interesting colour piece of said string and wonder if was Diamondback, TS-Plus or Dyneema 02
... you work out how many strands will be suitable to tie the window into position so the cat doesn't push it all the way open, and wonder if you should hav fully served the end-loops
... if someone talks about cams and cambelts you wonder what the new compound bow design is this time
... all your Allen keys are US Imperial, even the ons in your cycle kit
... when the work "sight" is mentioned you think "Sureloc?"
... you have several strange holes in the plasterboard on the wall in the upstairs passage
... there's a spare release aid and practice string on the bathroom sink edge

Or when it's in the area of £1500

- When you apply to a uni and they send you a form to enter for a scholarship for archery
-When you take said forms to cadets to fill in when your not teaching
- When you have a slingshot with a d-loop on the back and an old relase aid (despite the fact you shoot Re-curve
- When take you take said slingshot and relase aid and go snowballing with it (people took the **** until i hit them from 30m away)
- You have a seperate group on msn labelled "Archery"
- You post on this thread for the 4th or 5th time with a list of things
