...... when a colleague sends a picture of the grounds of one of the houses the company owns in Bangalore; you look at the monkeys and think "30 yard herd shot"...... and he then tells you your estimate of the distance was about right......

...... when any walk in the countryside has you looking to see what would make a good shot.......

...... when you read every Lectionary passage you've got to preach on and wonder how you can get the longbow in as a visual aid......

... when you get very over excited and whoop alot just cos you've beaten your coach (OK it was just for one end... not the whole round... but hey, it's a start !!! )

... when your coach introduces a new rule something along the lines of "thou shalt not whoop when you beat me; in fact thou shalt not beat me !"

Having read the whole of this post I think we are definately Archers!
Both our cars have fletched aerials.
We are down at the field as many nights as possible just to keep feeding our addiction and we sulk through the winter when can't go to the field or when it's raining.
We have considered selling the house that we have spent years and thousands of £££s on improving just so we could have a garden long enough to practice in - doesn't matter what the house is like.
I can't remember when I last did any housework or paid the kids any attention.
We too have pens made out of broken arrows and our first choice of clothing colour is white or green.
My mates at work glaze over when I mention archery - I just can't understand why they don't "get" it!!
I can't join in conversations at work as I haven't seen any TV for months!!
The list could go on but I'm sure you get the picture

Mine was broken so I replaced it with an old Redline, all White fletch, point removed of course. The reception was fantastic. It caused quite a stir at the club when I turned up. I even had one OLD FA** telling me I was shedding the wrong ideas about archery. I told him where to shove his thoughts as they were not asked for.
I had it stolen after about 3 months

After weeks of vividly dreaming of your own range you are seriously contemplating calling the farmer who owns the field behind you to enquire just how much an additional 100+M to the garden would cost just so that when you do shoot at that distance you'll be ready...

You're trying to weave an abstract outline of an arrow into the next phase of work to be done on the arm/shoulder body art (tattoo to the uninitiated!)...

You know you’re an archer when:-

you spend £85 on 44 kilos of straw in a 128 cm diameter wheel and stick it in a small back garden just so you can say to your neighbours ‘Does my butt look big in this’
