| Arizona Cup 2006 I find it amazing that no-one on this forum has so far posted that Alison Williamson is in fourth place after day 1 of the AZ Cup? results can be found here; http://www.arizonacup.com/ My interest is in Clint Freeman, who has reported to AF that he had a disappointing day 1 with a 665. Mens compound leader is Tim Gillingham with a 701. This is for 72 arrows at 70 metres, the Olympic round as we know it in Australia. Great effort. Brian

| Frommy Were a very parochial lot in the UK I'm afraid as regards archery. Even our NGB (GNAS) seems to have zero awareness of international competitions along the "UK archers might be interested" lines. Just reflecting reality I suppose. The bronze medal might eventually get a mention - maybe. With xxxxxx we're the complete opposite.

| Joe, That is strange when the US Gold Cup series is such a strong series, with some reasonable support from European archers, and Clint, this year. I think we should all support the international efforts of our archers, who mostly pay the costs out of their own pockets, to compete in such events. I noticed several archers from the UK entered the AZ Cup event. Maybe you other pommies are just too busy just sitting around and eating cake! ![]() Joke, honestly. ![]() And, also, with Oz qualifying for some event, described as ******** on this forum, we are getting that shoved down our throats by some of the media. ![]() Brian

| Frommy, just wondering how your cricketers are getting along in Bangladesh? Perhaps you'd like to tell us? ![]() |

I admit that the first innings was not good, and Bangladesh had a fabulous first innings. We knocked them off quickly in their second innings, and we are now 200 odd for 4 at stumps on day 4, chasing 307. Tomorrow will be an interesting day to say the least, but we are still in the race, mate.
